Pain Changes Everything.

Chiropractic Care Changes Pain.

What is Chiropractic Care?

Chiropractic care is a hands-on health care approach focused on your spine, joints, muscles and nervous system - aka the parts of your body that complain the loudest when you sit too long or sleep like a pretzel.

Another way to put it, chiropractors help you Move Better, Feel Better and Live Better.

What chiropractors actually do can vary some office to office, and practitioner to practitioner.  Some focus on spinal adjustments while others might integrate muscle release techniques or wellness advice as part of their treatment approach.  Dr. Carter uses a combination of techniques, based on the specific patients presentation.  Commonly it is a combination of spinal adjustments, soft tissue or muscle work,  and personalized exercise programs tailored to the individual needs of each patient.

What does a Chiropractor do?

A chiropractor is a licensed healthcare professional who helps your body move better and hurt less.  Mainly by working with your spine, joints, muscles and nervous system.  Think of them as the 'autobody' specialist for your body, where as a medical doctor would be the 'mechanic' for your body.

It might sound simple, but the most important part is understanding a patients injury, so that an appropriate treatment plan can  be formulated based on their specific needs and condition.  One persons back pain, can be similar but very different than someone else's so its important  to tailor the approach to the individual's unique circumstances and ensure optimal recovery.  This is why a proper history and examination are so important.

In office patient visits review changes in patients conditions, a combination of chiropractic adjustment, muscle release and stretching and home education and exercises.   These practices help promote healing and ensure better overall patient outcomes.
